Bright Eyes for Early Mornings

We've all had those days when you have to wake up early (for school, work, ect.) and you look like you haven't slept in a week. I think it's really important for us girls to know how to look more awake, so we can feel more confident and ready to tackle the day. So, let's just jump right in!

My lighting was kind of bad, you can't see the shimmer or white eyeliner... But  I still look awake!:)

Makeup Used:
-Neutrogena Healthy Skin Brightening Eye perfecter
-Urban Decay's  Eyeshadow Primer Potion
-Virgin by Urban Decay
-Naked by Urban Decay
-Any eyelash curler
-Maybelline's One by One Volum' Express mascara
-Wet n' Wild eyeliner in White

  1. First off, apply the eye-brightener onto your dark circles, and dab the concealer until it is blended out. I really like this concealer, because it actually works for covering up my dark circles, unlike most.
  2. Apply your eyeshadow base, and use a light shimmery color from lids to brow bone. This color will make your eyes look brighter.
  3. Use any white eyeliner to highlight the inner corner of your eyes and the browbone.
  4. Taking a Q-tip, go over your water line, removing excess liquid before you apply your eyeliner.
  5. Rim your water line with the white eyeliner. This will create the illusion of more whites to your eye, making your eyes appear a lot bigger and brighter. This one step makes you look so much more awake.
  6. Take a gel eyeliner brush, or any eyeshadow brush, and go over the eyeliner with a white eyeshadow so keep it from fading.
  7. Use a skin colored eyeshadow right under your white eyeliner so it doesn't smudge. That would ruin the effect it had on your eyes.
  8. Curl your lashes. This step can really make your eyes look a lot more open!!
  9. Use only one coat of mascara, to keep the curl. Too much will make your eyes look heavy, making you seem more tired.
And that's it! This is a really, really easy look that I wear usually every Monday haha. But if you even don't have time for a lot of eye products, just make sure to curl your lashes and apply the white eyeliner. Works like a charm!

One by One Mascara Review

We've all heard of Maybelline's One by One mascara. I'd always hear great reviews on blogs and videos, but it never really looked that great to me. The packaging looked unappealing, and  I'm not one for volumized lashes, I mostly enjoy a lot of length. But, I was hanging out  with one of my friends and her lashes looked AMAZING. They were long, dark, volumized, but not clumpy. I asked her what she used and she said she used this mascara. I decided I'd buy this instead of the L'oreal Million Lashes Mascara.
I went to ULTA a couple days after that, picked up a tube, and tried it the second I got home. Oh my gosh this stuff is absolutely amazing. It does everything for my lashes. The mascara gave volume to my lashes, but they were still separated. And the length? Amazing. So I've been wearing this in the shade Black, and I might want to pick up another one later that's in brown.
So yeah! Just a short review on a really great product!

Shopping List and Prices!

Hello, beauties! So I know I JUST did a wish list video, but I found more things I wanted-not just makeup, but beauty and fashion and others- and I wanted to write down everything with their prices to keep organized, and I thought, why not do it here? So here's everything I'll probably buying within the next 2 or 3 weeks with pictures and prices! And if you gusy I want, I could do a haul video or post!:)

Bath and Body Works
1- Bath and Body Works Signature Halloween Collection Mini Body Lotion Bundle. $10

I was on the Bath and Body Works website and got SUPER excited that they were coming out with all of their Fall and Halloween products. And I'm running out of my amazing mini apple blossom citrus lotion from there, so i decided I'd get a mini Halloween lotion! But this comes in a pack of 3 for only $5! And teh thing with these minie, they aren't like: MINI. They're about 1/2 or 2/3 the size of a normal one wich are like $20 for just one. Minis are soooo worth it! This Halloween Collection has: Sinful Vanilla, Spider Cider, Scream-A-Colada.:)

2- Halloween Themed Candles. 3 for $5

I've never really been into candles or like room sprays, but lately they've been sounding really fun! Right now I'm burning this strawberry candle I go at walgreens, which is super fun, but it's very summery. So i decided to get some Halloween-y candles! So i'm getting the mini ones (1.6 ounces) in Frosted Cupcake, Spiced Cider, and Pumpkin Patch. I'm really excited for these!

3- Sweet Cinnimon Pumpkin Foaming Hand Soap. $6

Around Christmas time, I always put out a christmas-tree shaped soap container in my bathroom, so i decided this year I would get a Halloween soap! So yeah!:)

Any Clothing Store

1- A flannel shirt!

I think flannel shirts are really cute for fall. Whenever I see someone with like a flannel shirt and a side braid in Fall, it just makes me happy! So I just want to get one:)

2- Brown Boots

All of my boots from last fall and winter are soooo horribly worn down. So I'm slowly going to start buying some boots. I just really want a nice, tall, brown boot. Not leather, but not like uggs.

Safeway

1-Febreze Pumpkin Harvest Room Spray. $2.50

I hear this scent is really really good smelling and great for fall time. I didn't wanna go over kill and but a thousand candles, so I decided I'd by those 3 for october, then for the rest of fall I'd use this one!:) Apparently it's limited eddition though. I hope I can get it before it's out of stock!

Ulta

1- Revlon's Just Bitten in Crave. $8.99

So like I said in my last post, I've really been into deep, berry lips. So I chose that NARS lipstick. But, when I was comming up with this shopping list, I came back to reality and realized I can't afford all of this! So i decided to get Revlon's Just Bitten in Crave.:)

2- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Duo in Golden Blonde. $22

I decided that if I could only buy ONE other makeup product on my wishlist, I would choose this brow powder. I really want to start defining my brows. My face will look better, and big, defined brows are in this fall!:)

So that's it! I hope you enjoyed my list! I'm not sure how much my shirt and boots will be obviously, but everything else on my list comes up to around $56! I think that's REALLY good for everything I'm getting. So yeah.:) Hope you had fun reading! Tell me if you want me to do a haul!

Makeup Wishlist!

I've been seeing a lot of fellow bloggers blogging about what they've been wanting makeup-wise recently. So I decided to make a post about it to:) I've been wanting so much recently... So much makeup I don't need, so little time<3 But I know I won't get all of this. I might not get any of this. I really can't afford all that much makeup, so obviously i won't be able to get a lot. But anyways, here's my list, in no particular order!

1. A brow powder. I don't care where it's from or what. i just really want one! There's this one spot on my left eyebrow where I plucked a little too much and it's so noticeable! I really want to fill it in. Plus, bold brows are super in for Fall. (Which excited me because my brows are very big) So, I want to go a tiny bit darker than their natural shade. I've never used a brow powder before, so if you guys have any good suggestions for any, I would love you to pieces!

2. Tarte 12-Hour Blush in Blissful. I've really been wanting a good blush lately, and I love how Tarte is all natural! Plus Blissful is a warm peach color, and I don't have any peach blushes (sad, I know). So, I really hope I can get this!

3. Essie Nail Polish in Carry On. I think this shade is soooo pretty for fall. It's just a  dark, matte, burgundy shade, which I don't have anything like in my nail polish collection. Absolutely love!:)

4. A good gel eyeliner brush. Mine sucks so bad! I don't care where it's from, I just want a decent one.

5. L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara. I have heard so many great reviews on this mascara. I really want to try it out! I'm not really into buying super expensive mascaras, I just usually stick to drugstore mascaras like my Covergirl LashBlast mascaras. So I just wanted to try it out:)

6. NARS lipstick in Fast Ride. I've really been into berry-ish lips lately, and this shade is SO PRETTY!! I really love NARS products, so i have no doubt that this will be a very good product.

So yeah! There's actually a lot more products I've been wanting lately, I just can't think of them right now. If I remember, I might post them later. :)

Foundation Frenzy!!

It was in my August favorites, and it is literally the best makeup product I have EVER purchased. No one told me or paid me to say this, it's completely my opinion. But, my favorite makeup product is:The Covergirl Natureluxe Liquid Silk Foundation.
I LOVE this product. I first heard about it from MacBarbie07 on youtube, and she's been using it for almost a year straight. I usually like whatever she does, so I decided to try it out. I'm so happy I did! It's very easy to move around my face, it doesn't just set so you can't blend it. (And this problem I've always seemed to have. Like with my Neutrogena foundation, the second you put it on, it's staying there!): )
Plus, it really matches skin easily. I've never been great with finding my shade, so this was a HUGE plus for me.
Also, -wow, I have so much to say about this- it doesn't make my skin breakout! I love foundation, but I get scared when I wear it because usually it makes me break out. This does not at all! My skin has actually improved since I've started using it.
Another great thing about this is that it's SO LIGHT OMG. It feels lighter than a tinted moisturizer! You seriously feel like you have nothing on. For medium coverage foundation? Omigosh. I love it.
My very favorite thing about this makeup is that it's so build able. When you first put it on, it's light to medium coverage. If you just put on a layer or two more, it's easily full coverage. It still feels light, and it doesn't even cake up when you put more on. Gosh, this is the most amazing foundation ever. I'm just freaking out writing this!:D

Bottom Line:
-Doesn't set right away
-Easily matches skin tones
-Doesn't break out my skin
-SUPER light-weight
-Very build able
-Doesn't cake

Not too shabby, eh? :) So I REALLY recommend this. I hope you enjoyed my little rave. Feel free to ask me any questions about it or recommend YOUR favorite foundation. Maybe I'll try it out!:)

The Beginning of a Beautiful Journey...

Hello beauties! So, let's talk nail polish. I've always loved it, and I mean, who doesn't? I would always read other blogs and watch youtube videos and gurus would be obsessed with nail polish and would have HUGE collections. I thought to myself, "Why would anyone love nail polish that much? How many do I even have?" I went through all of them, searching high and low through my bathroom and bedroom. Turns out I only have about 10 or 15 polishes. At first I didn't care, like I said- polish wasn't a big deal. But lately, I've really been appreciating it more! Now I can't believe how little polishes I have! None of them are that amazing, either. I always wore bright blue and pinks, but after seeing stuff on runways, I've noticed more subtle colors are more in. So, for the next couple months, I am going to go on a 'nailpolish frenzy' of sorts. What do I want for Christmas? Nail polish. What do I want at Sephora? Nail polish. Need anything at the drugstore? Nail polish!! I'm so excited!:)
Sadly, I don't have any essie or OPI. My collection just contains Sinful colors, Sally Hanson, and Revlon. So before I go out and but some essie and OPI, I have a question.

What are your favorite essie & OPI shades?

I'm really curious!:) Oh, and so I don't totally bore you with this post, I just wanted to show you my two favorite polishes.

1) Revlon's Cherries in the Snow. It's on my toes and I love it! It's this pretty deep pink color.

2) Sally Hanson's Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips. They're not really polish, but I love them! This is the one I have on my finger nails right now:)

So yeah! It would mean the world to me if you answered my question! Thanks, bye!:)

August Favorites!

Hello, beauties! I have officially been on blogger for a whole month, so I decided to start a monthly favorites string of blog posts!:) I hope you like them. I know I had fun writing this! Let's get started!

Covergirl Natureluxe Liquid Silk Foundation~ This. Is. My. Favorite. Makeup. Product. I. Have. Ever. Purchased! I only wear foundation like once every week or two. My skin is pretty okay, just right about when monday or TOM comes around, I start to breakout and get even MORE red than normal. (My skin has tons of red undertones even on a good day) I had tried the Covergirl Clean foundation (nothing special at all about it) and the Neutrogena Skin Clearing makeup (good coverage, but gets cakey reeeeally easily.) So I was kind of skeptical about drugstore foundations. But this foundation had gotten a lot of good reviews, so I picked it up, and I LOVE it. I SWEAR it feels like I'm not wearing anything. It's awesome! It gives light to medium coverage, but it's also very buildable so if you need more it would be fine. The only downside is that the packaging is soooo tiny I'll probably ned to re-purchase it a lot. But it's sooo worth it I don't even care!:)

L'oreal Paris Studio Secrets Professional Magic Perfecting Base~ I originally bought this because my old primer (the first kind I had ever bought and only) the Physicians Formula Correcting Primer was NOT helping my makeup stay on. It corrected some of my redness, but my makeup still caked up. But I didn't have time to go drive to Sephora, so I bought this primer. It's sooo amazing! After you put it on, your skin is, like, baby soft. And it even makes your skin better looking. I've worn it a few times without using any foundation and it's worked great! I really reccomend it.

e.l.f. Complexion Perfection Powder~ You guys already know how much I love this. It has four different colors ( yellow, blue, green, and red) to counter-act any discoloration on your face. I originally got this for the green for my cheeks (Like I said, I have really red skin) because it was only $3. I wasn't sure it would work, but it so does! I only use the green and yellow though (yellow for undereyes to counteract my blueish-purple circles). But, I would buy this if it was $40! Plus, the packaging looks like the Nars blush packaging, which I love!:)

Urban Decay NAKED Palette~ You already know this! Great pigmentation, great colors.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray- This stuff says it lasts up to 16 hours.. and it actually does! I bought this back in like December, used it for a couple late-night parties, and forgot about it. I found it again a couple weeks ago and I love it! I use it whenever I'm going to a party, or when I wear foundation to keep it from caking up.:)

Little Extra Things~ This post was a lot longer than I intended, so I'm goign to throw a few other little things into this section. Favorite nude lipstick- L'oreal lipstick in 800 Fairest Nude. Favorite Lip Stain- Revlon Just Bitten in Passion. Hair Product- :'oreal Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray!

     So that's it! I hope you enjoyed!!:D
